We are currently seeking experienced Allied Health and Health Professionals to join a large-scale national project as Support Needs Assessors (x80).
This is a meaningful opportunity to contribute to improving outcomes for NDIS participants by delivering high-quality, person-centred assessments.
About the Role
As a Support Needs Assessor, you will play a critical role in conducting evidence-based assessments to support NDIS participants. You will gather, analyse and interpret participant information to produce clear, consistent recommendations that reflect individual needs and circumstances.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting participant assessments through interviews and information gathering
- Analysing evidence and preparing detailed assessment reports
- Applying a person-centred, strengths-based and trauma-informed approach
- Engaging with participants, families and stakeholders respectfully and clearly
- Ensuring decisions align with legislation, policy, and best practice frameworks
Mandatory Requirements
Applicants must hold a recognised tertiary qualification in:
Allied Health disciplines such as:
- Occupational Therapy
- Physiotherapy
- Speech Pathology
- Social Work
- Dietetics
- Exercise Physiology
- Rehabilitation Counselling
- Counselling / Psychotherapy
OR a relevant health discipline such as:
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Enrolled Nurse (EN)
- Clinician with an Education degree
- NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner
Important: Evidence of your qualification must be included within your CV.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to commence on the specified start date
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain one ASAP)
- Strong communication, assessment and analytical skills
- Demonstrated commitment to person-centred and inclusive practice
Desirable Experience
- Experience conducting support needs assessments or similar frameworks
- Familiarity with person-centred and strengths-based approaches
- Experience with the I-CAN Support Needs Assessment Tool (highly regarded but not essential)
