Hourly Rate: $602.55/Daily (excluding super)
We are seeking an experienced EL1 Assistant Director - Strategic Pricing to lead complex economic research and pricing analysis to support evidence‑based decision‑making in a large, nationally significant scheme.
This role sits within a specialist economics and pricing function and focuses on understanding market behaviour, developing pricing and policy frameworks, and providing high‑quality advice that influences major funding and policy decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead economic research and analysis to inform strategic pricing and policy decisions
- Apply statistical and economic modelling to large datasets to assess market performance
- Develop pricing frameworks and policy options to support sustainable markets
- Contribute to pricing reviews and provide evidence‑based recommendations
- Engage with internal stakeholders, government partners, academics, and external experts
- Translate complex technical analysis into clear, practical advice for senior decision‑makers
About You
- Strong background in economics, pricing, public policy, or regulatory analysis
- Superior analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a quantitative mindset
- Experience working with complex datasets and modelling techniques
- Ability to influence and communicate with technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Comfortable working independently while contributing as part of a collaborative team
- Interest in the care economy, human services, or regulated markets
- Australian citizens only
Desirable
- Degree in economics, mathematics, statistics, public policy, or a related discipline
- Experience in government, regulation, consulting, or large‑scale public programs
