Safety in Design (SiD) Specialist

We're recruiting for a Safety in Design (SiD) Specialist to lead the implementation and continuous improvement of safe and sustainable design practices across major infrastructure programs.
You'll work across the full asset lifecycle, driving risk reduction, facilitating workshops, and embedding best practice in Safety and Sustainability in Design.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as an SME in Safety in Design (SiD) and Sustainability in Design
- Facilitate hazard identification, design, and risk workshops
- Drive compliance with WHS legislation and design safety frameworks
- Provide reporting, insights, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Engage stakeholders to embed safe and sustainable design outcomes
About You
Essential
- Extensive experience in Safety in Design (SiD) practices
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, regulations, and compliance frameworks
- Background in engineering design and asset lifecycle delivery
- Experience working with contractors, consultants, and complex stakeholder environments
- Proven ability to lead workshops, influence stakeholders, and drive change
Highly Regarded
- Experience in Sustainability by Design (SubD) or similar frameworks
- Strong facilitation skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience in large infrastructure, utilities, or asset-intensive organisations
