We are seeking an experienced Learning and Development Program Planner for a temporary role within a large South Australian government organisation. This role supports workforce capability in a safety‑critical operational environment through effective training planning, coordination and reporting.
About the Role
You will be responsible for planning, scheduling and overseeing corporate and technical training programs, ensuring compliance requirements are met while minimising operational disruption. The role works closely with leaders, planners, trainers and support teams and has a strong focus on data‑driven decision making and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule and coordinate corporate and technical training programs in line with workforce and operational requirements.
- Regularly review training plans to respond to emerging capability, compliance and operational needs.
- Coordinate enrolments, session logistics, resources and delivery support with internal teams and external providers.
- Use LMS, workforce and compliance data to monitor attendance, completion and identify gaps, risks or trends.
- Provide clear reporting and insights to Learning & Development leaders and key stakeholders.
- Act as a central point of contact between L&D, trainers, operational teams and planners to ensure efficient delivery.
- Ensure all training activities comply with safety, governance, procurement and finance requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of training planning processes and practices.
Skills & Experience (Essential)
- Proven experience planning and managing training programs across technical and corporate environments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills within operational or safety‑critical settings.
- Ability to sequence and schedule training to maximise attendance and minimise disruption.
- Strong analytical and reporting capability using LMS and/or tools such as Power BI.
- High attention to detail and the ability to adapt plans to changing priorities.
- Learning and Development background (essential).
Desirable:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
