We are seeking 3-6 temporary staff to support increased demand during the upcoming flu season at the Vaccine Distribution Centre in Gepps Cross. These roles are ideal for reliable, hands‑on workers who are comfortable in cool environments and committed to accuracy, safety, and high‑quality work.
About the Role
You will be working within a temperature‑controlled cool room environment to support the distribution of vaccines and immunisation products. Your work will be critical in ensuring that cold chain protocols are followed and that orders are packed and dispatched accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Picking and packing vaccines and immunisation stock in a cool room
- Maintaining strict cold chain compliance and handling temperature‑sensitive products correctly
- Ensuring accurate order fulfilment and meeting daily distribution timeframes
- Following all WHS, safety and operational procedures
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience working in cold chain logistics or temperature‑controlled distribution
- Previous picking/packing experience
- Ability to work efficiently and safely in a cool room for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
Training Provided
A structured, two‑week training period will cover:
- Standard operating procedures and work processes
- Cold chain handling requirements
- Safety and WHS protocols
All required PPE (cold room jacket, gloves) will be supplied. Candidates may bring their own beanie.
Requirements
- Current, valid police check (issued within 2 years)
- Ability to work the required hours, including potential overtime
- Capacity to perform physical tasks in a cold room environment
