ASO2 Level Payroll Officer (Call Centre)

We are seeking three enthusiastic and reliable Payroll Officers to join a large South Australian government payroll team on an ASAP commencement, with assignments running until 30 January 2026.

These roles sit within a high-volume, fast-paced environment and are ideally suited to candidates with experience in customer service, contact centres, or payroll who can manage competing deadlines while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

About the Role

The Payroll Officer will support the delivery of timely and accurate payroll services, responding to queries and assisting with a range of payroll and data-entry tasks. Successful candidates will work closely with team members and internal stakeholders to ensure service levels and deadlines are consistently met.

Key Requirements

• Experience with CHRIS21 or similar payroll/accounting systems (desirable, not essential)
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Excellent customer service skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience in data entry and/or bookkeeping (or similar)
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Team-oriented approach with high accuracy and attention to detail
• Proven reliability and strong work ethic
• Good data entry speed and accuracy (preferred)
