About the Role
We are seeking two experienced Structural Engineers to join a major State Government department on a 12-month temporary assignment.
These roles will focus on the early stages of infrastructure projects, providing technical leadership and ensuring high-quality project outcomes. You'll be responsible for scoping and planning new projects, developing high-level design options and reports for key stakeholders, and reviewing documentation prepared by panel engineers.
This is a great opportunity to contribute to large-scale public infrastructure initiatives within a collaborative, multidisciplinary engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Scope and plan early-stage infrastructure projects.
- Develop high-level structural design options and feasibility reports.
- Provide technical input and engineering advice to key stakeholders.
- Review and assess documentation prepared by panel engineers.
- Identify risks, opportunities, and improvements throughout project planning and design phases.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure consistent, high-quality engineering outcomes.
About You
To be successful in this opportunity, you will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Structural, Civil, or Systems Engineering, or a related field - Essential
- Demonstrated experience applying engineering principles to complex infrastructure or utility projects - Essential
- Strong understanding of systems integration, requirements management, and lifecycle engineering - Essential
- Proven ability to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements - Essential
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - Essential
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills - Essential
