A respected South Australian public sector organisation is seeking an ASO2 Intake and Business Support Officer to join their team on a short-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied administrative and customer service-focused role.
About the role:
This team provides an independent and trusted service to the public and government agencies, handling inquiries, concerns, and complaints. You'll be the first point of contact for members of the public, helping to register and process complaints accurately, and supporting broader corporate and administrative functions. Some interaction with challenging complainants may be part of the role.
Key responsibilities include:
- Receiving and registering complaints from the public via phone, email, and in person
- Coordinating the general inbox and providing accurate, timely responses
- Supporting administrative functions, including record management, FOI acknowledgments, meeting preparation, and invoicing support
- Uploading content to internal and external systems
- Assisting with small projects and implementing improved business systems
- Maintaining compliance with legislative and organisational policies
- Contributing positively to team culture and safe work practices
Who we're looking for:
- Experience in customer service and administrative support
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisational, time management, and prioritisation skills
- Proficiency with common computer applications and database systems
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality under broad direction
