Property Officer

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Land & Property Officer to join a dynamic and growing local government organisation.
This role is responsible for coordinating and administering land authorisations, transactions and property-related activities to ensure compliant and effective use of community assets.
About the Role
You will be responsible for managing a broad range of land and property matters, including:
Easements, encroachments, permits, licences and leases
Road openings and closures
Land revocations, acquisitions and disposals
Asset and place naming processes
Public consultation and stakeholder engagement
Preparation of reports and correspondence
Liaison and negotiation with landowners, consultants and internal teams
Ensuring compliance with legislation, policies and record-keeping requirements
You will also contribute to policy development and support a positive, collaborative workplace culture.
About You
You will bring:
Tertiary qualifications in property, land administration or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
Experience in land transactions and property administration
Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and statutory processes
Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
Strong report writing and record management skills
Database and MS Office proficiency
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
A current driver's licence
Desirable:
Experience with complex legal documents
Experience using land or asset management systems (e.g. SAILIS or similar)
