Storeperson

Pay Rate: approx $35 per hour
Hours: Full‑time casual

A leading supplier in the transport and trucking sector is seeking an experienced Storeperson to support warehouse operations at their Wingfield site. This role is hands‑on, fast‑paced and ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, solid warehouse experience, and the physical capability required for manual handling tasks.

About the Role

You will play a key part in ensuring stock is stored correctly, dispatched accurately, and delivered on time. The role involves both warehousing and light mechanical tasks relating to transport components.

Daily duties include:

• Picking, packing, and dispatching transport parts
• Operating forklifts for loading/unloading and stock movement
• Using torque wrenches to check bolt torque and verify product compliance
• Receiving goods, organising stock, and maintaining warehouse accuracy
• Providing customer service support for trade clients where required
• General warehouse housekeeping and safety compliance

Physical Task Requirements

This role involves manual handling and requires the following capabilities:

• Lifting 5-10 kg from waist to shoulder height (infrequently)
• Bending and squatting to lift 15-30 kg from knee to waist height
• Applying mid‑to‑high force when using torque tools
• Good physical stamina, flexibility, and dexterity

Skills & Experience

To be considered, you will need:

• Forklift Licence (LF)
• Driver's Licence
• 2+ years' experience as a Warehouse Leading Hand or Storeperson
• Basic mechanical knowledge
• Experience with picking, packing, dispatch and stock control
• Strong customer service skills and team‑focused attitude
