IDS Officer (Information & Digital Services) - State Election

About The Role
As an IDS Officer (Information & Digital Services), you'll provide Level 1 IT support across election hubs, early voting centres, mobile voting locations and election day venues.
You'll be the first point of contact for technical issues, ensuring systems remain operational during key election periods. This will include helpdesk support and on-site field work, supporting:
- Laptops, printers and networks
- User accounts and Windows environments
- The Electronic Roll Mark Off (ERMO) system

Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 1 IT support via phone, email, and ticketing systems
- Log, triage, and resolve incidents within service standards
- Troubleshoot user access, Windows environments, printers, and network issues
- Deploy, configure, and test IT equipment across multiple sites
- Support ERMO setup, synchronisation, and return processes
- Stage, update, and distribute devices across locations
- Maintain accurate asset tracking and documentation
- Escalate issues based on priority and collaborate with broader teams
About You
- Experience in Level 1 IT support
- Confident with Microsoft Office, Teams and general PC systems
- Able to prioritise and stay organised under pressure
- Strong communicator who can support non-technical users
- Experience with device deployment, asset tracking or networking (desirable)
Requirements
- Current Australian driver's licence and access to a vehicle
- Willingness to travel across various locations
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light manual handling
- Willing to obtain a National Police Check
