APS 6 level Data and Business Analyst

HOBAN Recruitment is seeking a skilled APS 6 level Data and Business Analyst to join a critical security clearance and maintenance team. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage data to inform decision-making, enhance processes, and contribute to operational efficiencies.
About the Role
As a Data and Business Analyst, you will:
- Analyse multiple sensitive data feeds to identify trends and patterns.
- Prepare reports and dashboards for senior executives, highlighting key findings and priorities.
- Develop and maintain reporting processes for accurate, timely outputs and advice.
- Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to champion improved assessment and analytic procedures.
- Participate in change initiatives to enhance data governance and operational processes.
- Draft standard operating procedures and present materials to build analytic capability.
- Undertake ad hoc data and business analysis tasks as required.

About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- A qualification in information technology or a related field.
- Australian citizenship and at least NV1 security clearance (willingness to upgrade to NV2 if required).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with digital and data systems such as SQL and/or PowerBI.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- High integrity and commitment to the APS values and Code of Conduct.
Please note you do need to be an AUSTRALIAN CITIZEN and hold an NV1 clearance as a minimum for this Federal Government role.
