Casual Traffic Controller at School Site

We are currently seeking reliable and safety-focused Casual Traffic Wardens to work at our client's school site in Truganina, VIC 3029. This is a rewarding community-based role where you'll help ensure the safety of students, families, and pedestrians during busy school periods.

Pay Rate: $35.80 per hour + Super

Key Responsibilities include:

• Directing traffic during morning and afternoon school peak periods.

• Monitoring designated crossing points and identifying and reporting safety risks or incidents.

• Operating road signage and using clear hand signals to manage vehicles and pedestrians.

• Communicating with other Traffic Wardens and team members via two-way radio.

• Assisting parents, students, and visitors by explaining crossing procedures.

• Supporting school events and traffic management activities when required.

• Assisting with general litter clean-up and light garden maintenance duties.

• Performing other ad-hoc duties as required.

Key Requirements

• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.

• Own transport or ability to commute independently.

• Traffic Control (Basic STOP/SLOW Bat) training.

• Valid Working With Children Check (Employee) or willingness to obtain one.

• Current Australian Police Check or willingness to obtain one.

• Ability to operate a two-way radio.

• Physically fit and able to stand for 2-4 hours and move around the school grounds.

• Previous experience in traffic control, safety, or working in a school environment is highly regarded but not essential.

• Strong commitment to child safety and community wellbeing.

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday during school terms (excluding public holidays)

• Morning shift: 7:15 AM - 9:15 AM

• Afternoon shift: 2:15 PM - 4:15 PM
