About the Role
The City Assets / Infrastructure Services team is seeking a reliable and safety-focused individual to join as an MR Truck Driver / Road Worker.
This hands-on role combines truck operation, road maintenance, and general civil support work to help deliver high-quality infrastructure and services across the Narrandera community.
You'll play an active part in maintaining local roads, drainage systems, and public spaces, as well as supporting project deliveries through material transport and site setup.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate MR trucks for waste collection, material transport, and delivery tasks.
Perform road and footpath repairs, patching, and drainage maintenance.
Assist with site preparation, setup, and traffic control measures.
Conduct pre-start inspections and report vehicle or equipment defects.
Operate hand tools and light machinery safely and efficiently.
Follow all WHS procedures and maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment.
Collaborate effectively within a team to meet daily and project deadlines.
Requirements
Current MR Driver's Licence (essential).
Experience in road, civil, or construction work (preferred).
White Card (required).
Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varying conditions.
Safety-conscious, reliable, and a strong team player.
HR licence or traffic control tickets are advantageous but not essential.
