Mechanic

HOBAN Recruitment is seeking an experienced Diesel Motor Mechanic (Heavy Stream) to join a dynamic Fleet Maintenance team located in Banyule Melbourne. This role is perfect for someone with strong technical expertise and a passion for keeping plant and equipment in top condition.

About the Role

• Service and repair a variety of vehicles, mobile plant, and mechanical equipment.
• Diagnose complex hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical faults.
• Perform disassembly, measurement, and reassembly of components.
• Fabricate and design parts or equipment when required.
• Provide advice on vehicle safety and operational best practices.
• Assist in training apprentices and maintain accurate work records.

About You

• Qualified Diesel Motor Mechanic - heavy stream.
• Extensive post-qualification experience in fleet maintenance of diverse plant and equipment.
• Sound knowledge of hydraulic and electrical fault diagnosis.
• Heavy Rigid (HR) Vehicle Driver's Licence and Forklift Licence.
• Ability to plan and organise work effectively and supervise when required.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety and teamwork.
