About the Role
As a Plant Operator - Green Waste Pad, you will be responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient operation of plant and equipment within the Green Waste Recycling Facility. You will operate loaders, skid steers, and small plant, while assisting with general site operations and maintenance.
Key responsibilities include: - Operating plant, tools, and equipment within the green waste recycling area
- Supporting trials, system improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assisting with labouring duties and general site maintenance
- Performing sediment control tasks, litter collection, housekeeping, and minor works
- Identifying hazards and reporting WHS and environmental issues promptly
- Conducting plant inspections, routine maintenance, greasing, and minor repairs
- Ensuring equipment is kept clean, well-maintained, and safely stored
- Following SWMS, SOPs, and all WHS requirements
- Participating in training and maintaining required competencies
About You
You are a dependable team player who prioritises safety and works collaboratively to achieve operational goals.
To be successful, you will have: - WorkCover WHS General Induction (White Card)
- Competency in operating a Loader (LL) and/or Skid Steer (LS)
- Experience operating and maintaining heavy plant
- Background in landfill, quarrying, mining, civil construction, or similar industries
- Strong awareness of WHS, environmental controls, and hazard identification
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Willingness to undertake housekeeping, labouring, and site maintenance tasks
- Current C Class driver's licence
Desirable: - Certificates in Plant Operations, Road Construction, or related fields
- Asbestos Awareness training
- Traffic Controller certification
- HR driver's licence
Contract Details: - Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: Monday, 9 November 2026
- Rate: $41.13 per hour
