Temp to Perm Opportunity | Rowville
$45 per hour (Casual) | Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Purchasing Officer to join a well-established business in Rowville. This is a temp-to-perm opportunitiy, ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on purchasing and wants long-term stability within a supportive commercial team.

About the Role
Reporting to the Supply Chain function, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day execution of purchasing activities, ensuring materials, equipment and services are procured efficiently, accurately and in line with company policies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Raising and processing purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner
- Ensuring all purchase orders are correctly authorised
- Liaising with suppliers to confirm pricing, availability and delivery timeframes
- Obtaining quotes and supporting supplier onboarding
- Monitoring open purchase orders and following up on deliveries and discrepancies
- Matching purchase orders to invoices and delivery documentation
- Maintaining accurate purchasing, supplier and inventory records
- Supporting procurement compliance, audits and reporting
- Working closely with operations, projects, warehouse and finance teams
About You
To be successful, you will bring:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a purchasing, procurement or supply chain administration role
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience using ERP or purchasing systems
- Confidence managing high volumes of purchase orders
- Sound MS Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
- Experience in construction, engineering or building services (highly regarded)
