AO3 Level Business Support Officer

HOBAN Recruitment is recruiting for an AO3 level Business Support Officer on behalf of a Queensland Government client, based in Cannon Hill. This is a temporary opportunity commencing 13 April 2026 through to 29 May 2026, with the possibility of extension.
This role is ideal for an experienced administrator with strong data entry skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a structured, high‑volume environment.
About the Role
As an AO3 Business Support Officer, you will be responsible for processing Field Staff labour costing and supporting the team to meet critical deadlines. Key responsibilities include:
- High‑volume data entry of labour costing information
- Reviewing and validating timesheets prior to system entry
- Identifying, investigating and resolving data discrepancies
- Working both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Managing competing priorities to meet tight deadlines
- Providing support to the team and assisting with workloads as required
- Undertaking general administrative tasks as needed

About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Mandatory:
- Proven data entry experience with a strong focus on accuracy
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel
- Intermediate skills in Adobe PDF
Highly Desirable:
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment with repetitive tasks
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Analytical and investigative skills to identify and resolve issues
- Clear and professional communication skills (email, phone and Microsoft applications)
- A positive attitude and a collaborative, team‑focused approach
- Willingness to support general administrative functions as required
