Accounts Payable Officer

Are you a switched-on finance all-rounder with a strong work ethic and a great attitude? Our client is seeking an Accounts Payable professional who enjoys variety, takes ownership, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
- Located - Yatala, QLD (Hybrid available post training)
- Hours Mon-Fri 8am - 5pm
- $45 + p/h + superannuation
- Temporary, casual labor on hire assignment
About the Role
You'll play a key role within the Financial Operations team. The role will initially focus on Accounts Payable and settlements, with opportunities to broaden into Accounts Receivable and disbursements functions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Prepare and process settlement statements and supplier payments
- Manage AP/AR reconciliations and general ledger postings
- Confirm and maintain supplier bank details
- Ensure authorisations and documentation meet company policies and controls
- Investigate and resolve payment or reconciliation discrepancies
- Support quality assurance reporting for finance KPIs
- Participate in process improvements and finance projects
- Other duties as required

About You
We're looking for someone with the right mindset and work ethic - a thinker who enjoys problem-solving, takes accountability, and can collaborate with confidence.
You'll also bring:
- 2+ years' experience in transactional finance, disbursements, or accounts payable
- Strong Excel and reconciliation skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- A dynamic personality - confident but team-oriented
- Payroll experience highly regarded (though not part of this role)
- This role will suit someone early-to-mid in their finance career who enjoys variety, structure, and contributing to a high-performing, people-focused team.
- Must have full Australian working rights.
