Accounts Payable Officer

Are you a switched-on finance all-rounder with a strong work ethic and a great attitude? Our client is seeking an Accounts Payable professional who enjoys variety, takes ownership, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.

• Located - Yatala, QLD (Hybrid available post training)
• Hours Mon-Fri 8am - 5pm
• $45 + p/h + superannuation
• Temporary, casual labor on hire assignment

About the Role

You'll play a key role within the Financial Operations team. The role will initially focus on Accounts Payable and settlements, with opportunities to broaden into Accounts Receivable and disbursements functions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Prepare and process settlement statements and supplier payments
• Manage AP/AR reconciliations and general ledger postings
• Confirm and maintain supplier bank details
• Ensure authorisations and documentation meet company policies and controls
• Investigate and resolve payment or reconciliation discrepancies
• Support quality assurance reporting for finance KPIs
• Participate in process improvements and finance projects
• Other duties as required

About You

You'll also bring:

• 2+ years' experience in transactional finance, disbursements, or accounts payable
• Strong Excel and reconciliation skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• A dynamic personality - confident but team-oriented
• Payroll experience highly regarded (though not part of this role)
• This role will suit someone early-to-mid in their finance career who enjoys variety, structure, and contributing to a high-performing, people-focused team.
• Must have full Australian working rights.
