Shift Patterns:
As a Data Entry Operator, you will support the accurate and timely processing of election results by entering data from ballot papers and election documentation into specialised systems. Working in a high-volume environment, you will be responsible for maintaining data integrity while following established procedures and security protocols.

- Day Shift - 7:00am - 3:00pm | 8:00am - 4:30pm
- Afternoon: 2:45pm - 10:45pm
- Peak Period: 8:15am - 7:45pm
As a Data Entry Operator, you will support the accurate and timely processing of election results by entering data from ballot papers and election documentation into specialised systems. Working in a high-volume environment, you will be responsible for maintaining data integrity while following established procedures and security protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately enter election data into specialised systems
- Process information in line with VEC procedures and guidelines
- Maintain a high level of accuracy when handling large volumes of data
- Meet productivity and quality targets in a fast-paced environment
- Handle sensitive election information with confidentiality and care
- Identify and report data discrepancies or issues when required
- Work with specialised software and in-house systems
- Follow all VEC policies, procedures and security requirements
- Provide support with other operational tasks as directed
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in data entry, administration or processing environments
- Fast and accurate keyboard skills, ideally achieving 7,000-10,000 keystrokes per hour
- The ability to successfully complete an alphanumerical data entry test
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills
- The ability to follow instructions and established procedures
- Excellent concentration and the ability to stay focused during repetitive tasks
- Confidence learning new systems and technology
- A professional, reliable and confidential approach to work
- Sitting for extended periods of time
- Maintaining focus on small print, handwritten information and computer screens
- Regular use of a computer, keyboard and monitor for long periods
- Working in a high-volume processing environment for extended shifts during peak periods
- Weekly pay, every week

- There is NO parking at the site. You must not drive to or attempt to park at site.
- A free shuttle bus will run between Southern Cross Station and the venue for every shift. You are strongly advised to use this service.
- Shuttle travel time sits OUTSIDE your rostered start and finish times and is not paid. Please factor this into your travel planning before accepting a roster.
