HOBAN Recruitment is proud to support the delivery of the 2026 Victorian State Election and is seeking experienced rostering professionals to join a newly established Centralised Rostering team.
These are unique opportunities to contribute to a major statewide program while supporting the mobilisation, coordination and wellbeing of a large operational workforce.
About the Opportunities
These roles sit within a newly established Centralised Rostering function responsible for workforce scheduling, roster administration and operational workforce support.
Working closely with operational leaders and internal stakeholders, the team will play a critical role in ensuring workforce requirements are met while maintaining compliance with workplace agreements, fatigue management requirements and organisational policies.
Lead - Centralised Rostering
The Lead will be responsible for establishing and overseeing the centralised rostering function, while providing day-to-day leadership and guidance to the Rostering Officers.
About you
- Leadership experience within rostering, workforce planning or scheduling functions
- Experience managing shift-based workforces
- Experience implementing rostering practices, frameworks, systems or processes
- Strong knowledge of Awards, Enterprise Agreements and workforce compliance requirements
- Experience balancing operational requirements with workforce wellbeing and fatigue management
- Advanced stakeholder management and workforce planning capability
Rostering Officers
Reporting to the Lead, Centralised Rostering, the Rostering Officers will support workforce scheduling, roster administration, reporting and workforce coordination activities.
About You
- Experience in rostering, workforce coordination, scheduling or workforce administration
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Experience maintaining accurate workforce records and data
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience using rostering, workforce management, HR or scheduling systems
- Reporting and data management capability
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Key Responsibilities
- Creating, maintaining and administering workforce rosters
- Coordinating workforce scheduling and shift allocations
- Responding to roster enquiries and workforce requests
- Maintaining accurate workforce records and documentation
- Reconciling roster information and timesheet data
- Producing workforce reports and operational insights
- Supporting payroll and timekeeping processes
- Ensuring compliance with Awards, Enterprise Agreements and organisational policies
- Supporting workforce mobilisation during peak operational periods
- Leading rostering operations and continuous improvement initiatives (Lead role)
