Air Freight Operator

Are you ready to advance your career in air freight? We are partnering with a globally recognised logistics company seeking a professional to join their Sydney-based Air Freight Operations team.
We're looking for a motivated Air Freight Operator to join this well-established and highly respected organisation. In this role, you will support the air freight team by handling administrative and operational tasks, including data entry in Cargowise system, coordinating shipments, processing invoices, and maintaining customer and airline records.
You will also liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams, assist with transport arrangements and warehouse operations, and help ensure smooth day-to-day air freight operations.
This is a full-time, permanent role offering genuine career growth opportunities and hands-on experience in air import/export operations.
What You'll Be Doing:
Provide clerical and operational support to the air freight team
Input data into Cargowise systems and ensure all shipment processes are followed through
Make export airline bookings and maintain airline rates and charges
Generate and send client reports with estimated and confirmed delivery dates
Process customer invoices and creditor invoices accurately and promptly
Assist in warehouse operations as needed
Arrange inbound and outbound transport
Maintain and update customer databases, including aviation security listings
Support branch teams, including sales and customer service
Answer calls professionally and liaise with clients, suppliers, and authorities
Handle other tasks as reasonably requested
What We're Looking For:
2-3 years' experience in a relevant role (3+ years also considered)
Strong organizational, administration, and interpersonal skills
Exceptional attention to detail
Experience in freight forwarding, particularly air import/export documentation
Experience with Cargowise (or willingness to learn)
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Work Days & Hours:
Monday to Friday, starting from 8:30am
