About the Role
As Manager - Mining Technical Services, you will act as a key technical advisor across the organisation's mining investment portfolio. Working closely with senior stakeholders locally and internationally, you will provide critical input into project evaluation, operational performance, and strategic growth initiatives.
This role combines technical mining expertise with commercial insight, supporting due diligence, investment decisions, and ongoing optimisation of joint venture operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading technical input into project due diligence and investment assessments
- Evaluating mine plans, expansions, and acquisition opportunities
- Monitoring performance across existing operations and identifying improvement opportunities
- Providing technical governance and advisory support across projects
- Managing and coordinating external consultants and technical advisors
- Delivering forecasting, reporting, and data-driven insights to support decision-making
- Building strong relationships with joint venture partners and influencing operational outcomes
About You
You are a technically strong mining professional who understands both how operations run and how investments are evaluated. You bring a balance of site-based experience and strategic thinking, and you're confident influencing stakeholders in a complex, global environment.
You will bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in mining engineering, geology, metallurgy, or a related discipline
- Strong experience in large-scale mining operations (open cut essential)
- Exposure to mine planning, project evaluation, or technical services functions
- Experience supporting feasibility studies, expansions, or investment decisions
- Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret and communicate complex data
- Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders without direct authority
- Experience working with joint ventures, consultants, or cross-functional teams
