This is a company engaged in product planning, development, and import/export and wholesale operations, with a focus on supplying goods to the broader Asian markets. If If you have strong interest in Japan's soft power-particularly character and pop culture-to overseas markets, as well as an interest in bringing unique Australian products to Japan, I would like to hear from you.
You will begin with routine retail sales and inventory management. Once you gain an understanding of best-selling products and customer trends, you will have the opportunity to be involved in product planning and development - a truly engaging and creative aspect of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and development of new products, including marketing activities
- Sales activities with existing clients as well as new business development
- Coordination and meetings with manufacturers toward product commercialization
- Coordination and management of delivery operations with logistics companies
- Arrangement and coordination of import/export operations with customs brokers (freight forwarders)
- Shipping, warehouse operations, and other tasks related to wholesale distribution
Requirements:
- Must hold a Permanent Residency, Australian Citizenship, Partner Visa, or Graduate Visa
- Prior work experience in Japan, with a solid understanding of Japanese business etiquette and practices can be considered sponsorship
- Experience in marketing or product development is ideal but not essential
- Japanese language proficiency is highly regarded but other language such as Chinese, Korean, Thai is also welcomed to apply since the clients speaks those languages.
- Ability to build strong teamwork with colleagues and business partners, understand required values and challenges, and take initiative independently.
- A strong interest in introducing Japan's soft power-particularly character and pop culture-to overseas markets, as well as an interest in bringing unique Australian products to Japan.
- Domestic and international travel may be required
- Australian driver's licence
