Warehouse Manager

Our client, a leading organisation within the healthcare and medical device sector, is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee their Melbourne distribution operations.
This role exists to ensure the smooth and efficient running of site operations, with full accountability for inventory integrity, on-time order dispatch, and maintaining a safe and high-performing warehouse environment. The successful candidate will play a critical role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement, team development, and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including inbound, outbound, and inventory functions
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of warehouse staff and drivers across Melbourne and Adelaide
- Ensure all inbound and outbound shipments are processed accurately and within KPI timeframes
- Manage transport scheduling, delivery windows, and MedTrans route optimisation
- Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy through cycle counting and adherence to SOPs
- Partner closely with Sales and Logistics teams to support customers and enhance distribution strategies
- Conduct customer site visits to better understand and improve service delivery
- Drive a strong safety-first culture and ensure full compliance with WHS standards
- Lead quality initiatives, including development and auditing of work instructions and procedures
- Analyse operational and financial performance, implementing corrective actions where required
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of 3PL and in-house transport operations
About the Candidate
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a warehouse management or supervisory role within pharmaceutical or medical device environments
- Strong knowledge of ISO13485, ISO14644, and GMP principles
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to build and develop high-performing teams
- Experience managing both in-house transport and 3PL distribution networks
- Strong analytical capability with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, TQM)
- Solid understanding of WHS and a proactive approach to workplace safety
- Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related discipline
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
