Japanese Speaking Branch Manager

About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Japanese-speaking Branch Manager to lead Brisbane operations for a well-established global FMCG distribution business located approximately 10km south of the Brisbane CBD.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Branch Manager with experience in FMCG distribution, wholesale, or logistics, who enjoys driving operational excellence, sales growth, and team leadership in a fast-paced environment.
The Role
Reporting directly to senior management, you will be responsible for the overall performance and growth of the branch operations in Brisbane. You will lead both warehouse operations and office-based teams, ensuring efficient processes, strong customer service, and consistent sales performance.
This is a permanent full-time role, working Monday to Friday, based on-site.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee day-to-day branch operations
- Drive sales growth, business development, and market expansion
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 20 staff
- Oversee warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory management
- Build and maintain strong customer and stakeholder relationships
- Manage KPIs, budgets, forecasting, and performance reporting
- Report operational and commercial results to senior management
- Participate in occasional business travel
About You
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Branch Manager, Assistant Branch Manager, Operations Manager, or similar
- Background in FMCG, wholesale, retail, or logistics
- At least 1-2 years' people management experience
- Proven ability to drive sales performance and operational improvement
- Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and customer engagement skills
- Strong communication skills in Japanese and English
- Experience managing budgets, forecasts, KPIs, and P&L
- Ability to work autonomously and lead a branch independently
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Valid QLD driver's licence
- Currently living in Brisbane area
