This is a high-impact opportunity to lead the safe, compliant and efficient operation of a regulated healthcare manufacturing facility.
With responsibility spanning facilities, maintenance, WHS, environmental compliance, contractors and essential site services, you’ll ensure the infrastructure supporting manufacturing, tissue processing, warehousing and dispatch remains reliable and compliant.
What you’ll be responsible for
- Lead preventative and reactive maintenance across buildings, plant and essential infrastructure
- Oversee electrical, plumbing, mechanical and HVAC systems
- Maintain GMP-critical systems, including cleanroom HVAC, environmental monitoring, water systems and temperature-controlled storage
- Manage maintenance schedules, contractors, tradespeople and external service providers
- Lead the site’s WHS function and maintain workplace health and safety systems
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, company policies and regulatory requirements
- Maintain risk assessments, SWMS and emergency procedures
- Conduct safety audits and site inspections
- Investigate incidents, hazards and near misses, ensuring corrective and preventative actions are completed
- Coordinate site upgrades, equipment installations and capital works
- Manage supplier contracts, facilities budgets and CapEx planning
You’ll be a practical and proactive leader who can balance day-to-day operational requirements with safety, compliance, planning and continuous improvement.
You will ideally bring:
- At least four years’ experience in facilities, maintenance, building or site management
- Experience within manufacturing, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, FMCG, food production, logistics or another regulated environment
- Strong knowledge of building services and essential infrastructure
- Demonstrated contractor, supplier and maintenance-program management experience
- Experience leading WHS systems, audits, risk assessments and incident investigations
- Sound knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and compliance requirements
- Budget-management and capital works or CapEx planning experience
- Knowledge of GMP, TGA or quality-management systems will be a strong advantage
- Lead facilities, maintenance and HSE across a critical healthcare site
