Project Manager

  HOBAN Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Equipment Proposals & Project Manager to join a leading global organisation specialising in modular conveyor systems, automation, and material handling solutions.

  This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced project professional with a strong technical background, commercial mindset, and passion for delivering customer-focused solutions.

  Based in Melbourne, you will manage the full project lifecycle, from developing equipment proposals and defining project scope through to successful delivery and customer handover.

  About the Role

  Reporting to the Project Equipment & Field Service Director, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing project scopes and equipment proposals alongside Account Managers and Application Engineers
  • Preparing pricing, cost estimates, and negotiating commercial terms
  • Managing multiple projects while maintaining scope, budget, timelines, and quality standards
  • Acting as the key customer contact throughout the project lifecycle
  • Managing project risks, schedules, forecasts, and stakeholder communications
  • Coordinating internal teams and external resources to ensure successful project delivery
  • Using ERP, CRM, and project management systems to manage project administration
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency

  About You

  To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • 5+ years' experience in project and/or program management
  • Experience managing customer-facing projects within a technical or engineering environment
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience within logistics, automation, material handling, or related industries (highly desirable)
  • Engineering qualification (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience using ERP systems, MS Office, project management tools, and CAD software
  • Ability to travel when required

  Mandarin language skills would be advantageous but are not essential.

  Location

  Based in Epping VIC 3076, with travel required as needed.
