Machinery Spray Painter
Join an established heavy-equipment business and apply your automotive refinishing expertise across a varied fleet of new, used and hire construction machinery.

Working within a team, you’ll be responsible for diagnosing paint issues, completing high-quality repairs and refinishing work, and ensuring the spray booth and paint shop remain safe, compliant and well maintained.

Pay rate: $45–$50 per hour + Overtime
Location: Archerfield, QLD
Employment type: Permanent

What you’ll be responsible for

• Prepare, repair and spray-paint new, used and hire construction equipment
• Diagnose paint defects and recommend cost-effective repair solutions
• Mix and apply paint using appropriate refinishing systems and techniques
• Operate and maintain the spray booth in accordance with industry and safety standards
• Maintain the paint shop, equipment and work areas to a high standard
• Complete accurate reports and maintain records of work performed
• Provide photographs and supporting documentation for warranty repairs
• Monitor paint, consumable and workshop stock levels

About you
You’ll be a skilled and safety-focused spray painter with strong attention to detail and pride in producing a quality finish.

You will bring:

• Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing Technology or an equivalent qualification
• Post-trade experience
• Experience with paint preparation, colour matching, mixing systems and spray-booth operations
• Strong knowledge of safe working practices within the painting and refinishing industry
• The ability to diagnose paint issues and determine practical repair methods
• Experience working with heavy machinery, construction equipment, trucks or industrial vehicles will be highly regarded
