Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities will be tailored according to your accounting skills and experience and may include:
Bookkeeping & Transaction Processing
- Process daily accounting transactions and journal entries
- Maintain accurate general ledger records
- Ensure data accuracy and compliance with accounting procedures
- Prepare and issue customer invoices
- Process supplier invoices and payments
- Monitor receivables and follow up on outstanding accounts
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations
- Reconcile supplier statements and balance sheet accounts
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management reports and financial statements
- Support BAS preparation and other compliance reporting requirements
- Contribute to month-end and year-end processes
- Assist senior accountants with audit preparation
- Support payroll processing activities
- Provide general administrative and ad hoc support as required
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Native or business-level Japanese language skills
- Strong understanding of Japanese business culture and communication styles
- 1 to 3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Accounting qualification (Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent) preferred
- Experience using accounting software is advantageous
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
