Accounting Clerk - Asian Language Skill

About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with foundational accounting experience who is looking to grow within a stable, international business environment.
Reporting to the Accounting Team Leader, you will play a key role in supporting day-to-day financial operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of financial data, and assisting with internal reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Process accounts payable: match invoices with purchase orders, enter bills, prepare payment runs, and follow up with suppliers on outstanding issues.
Manage accounts receivable: allocate customer payments, monitor aging reports, and follow up on overdue accounts.
Perform regular bank and account reconciliations.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and accruals.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in the accounting system.
Support inventory costing and reconciliation as required.
Liaise with internal departments (sales, logistics, procurement) to resolve discrepancies.
Assist with preparing documentation for internal and external audits.
Support the finance team with other administrative and accounting tasks as needed.
Requirements & Qualifications
Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 1 years of experience in a similar accounting role preferred.
Familiarity with accounting software such as SAP or similar systems.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication skills and ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
Problem-solving mindset and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Fluent in English; additional Asian language skills preferred
