School Crossing Supervisor

We are currently looking for multiple School Crossing Supervisors across Canberra.

As a School Crossing Supervisor your key role will be to help children, parents, and community members safely across the road, teach them how to use a crossing safely and provide a courteous service to pedestrians. Hours of work will be rostered at the start or end of school days.


Duties will include but are not limited to:

• Assisting children, families, and pedestrians to safely cross at children's crossings and traffic lights
• Report all incidents, accidents, near misses and potential risks
• Maintain a high level of awareness and professionalism.

In taking on this role, you'll become vital to the safety of our children, parents, teachers, and local motorists. Successful candidates will have:

• Experience in customer service or working directly with children
• Currently hold a Working with Vulnerable People's Check (ESSENTIAL)
• Driver’s Licence and have access to a reliable vehicle (ideal, but not a necessity)
• Availability Monday to Friday, from 7.30am to 9.00am and 3.00pm to 4.00pm.
• Be willing to commute around Canberra as needed
