This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced accounts professional who enjoys working autonomously, taking ownership of their work and becoming an integral part of a growing business.
About the Role
Working closely with the directors and external accountants, you will take ownership of the day-to-day financial operations of the business, along with some general office administration.

About the Role
Working closely with the directors and external accountants, you will take ownership of the day-to-day financial operations of the business, along with some general office administration.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing accounts payable and receivable
- Supplier payments and customer invoicing
- Bank, credit card and loan reconciliations
- Managing payroll, superannuation and STP
- Preparing information for BAS, GST, Payroll Tax and WorkCover
- Debtor management and cash flow monitoring
- Maintaining accurate financial records across multiple Xero entities
- Supporting job costing and project-related financial administration
- Liaising with external accountants and providing accurate, reconciled information
- Managing general office administration, records and documentation
- Assisting with licences, registrations, insurances and supplier accounts
- Supporting purchasing, travel and general business administration as required
We are looking for someone who is confident working independently and can take ownership of the accounts function within a growing business.
You will ideally have:
- 3–5 years' experience in bookkeeping, accounts or a similar role
- Strong Xero and Excel skills
- Solid knowledge of Australian payroll, superannuation, GST and BAS
- Experience across AP, AR and account reconciliations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- A proactive, practical approach and willingness to get involved
