We are seeking experienced and detail-driven Quality Specialists to join a fast-paced beverage manufacturing environment in the Swanbank / Ipswich area. This role will support product quality, laboratory hygiene, inspection processes, analytical checks and equipment calibration across a rotating shift roster.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with strong quality experience in food, beverage, FMCG or manufacturing, who enjoys being hands-on and working closely with production teams to ensure products meet required standards.
About the Role
As a Quality Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting day-to-day quality activities across production and laboratory environments. You will conduct manual product inspections, complete quality parameter checks, perform routine calibration of analytical equipment and maintain high hygiene and compliance standards within the quality lab.
The role will suit someone who is confident working across shifts and has a strong understanding of quality systems, food safety, GMP, hygiene and analytical testing requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct manual inspections of finished products and in-process materials.
- Complete routine quality parameter checks to ensure products meet specification.
- Perform analytical testing, including Brix, pH and other quality measurements.
- Calibrate and verify quality analytical equipment in line with site requirements.
- Maintain hygiene and housekeeping standards within the quality laboratory.
- Accurately record, review and report quality results.
- Support product release, non-conformance and quality investigation processes.
- Identify and escalate quality issues in a timely manner.
- Work closely with production teams to support quality at source.
- Follow GMP, hygiene, food safety and quality system requirements.
- Assist with continuous improvement activities related to product quality, inspection and laboratory processes.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have strong quality experience within a manufacturing, food, beverage or FMCG environment. You will be confident using quality testing equipment, working to procedures and maintaining accurate records.
You will ideally bring:
- 2-5+ years' experience in a quality, QA, QC, laboratory or production quality role.
- Previous experience in food, beverage, FMCG or manufacturing highly regarded.
- Experience with manual product inspection and quality parameter checks.
- Experience using or calibrating analytical equipment such as Brix meters, pH meters or similar.
- Understanding of GMP, GLP, hygiene and food safety principles.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with documentation.
- Ability to identify quality issues and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work with production and quality teams.
- Flexibility to work a rotating 3-shift roster across day, afternoon and night shift.
- Availability to work 5 days per week, including weekends where required.
