Gardener – South East Suburbs
HOBAN are currently taking expression of interests for qualified Parks & Gardeners workers and horticulture experts to work within a local school of Melbourne. - Mowing, brush cutting, pruning, edging
- Use of garden equipment and machinery including electrical machinery
- Proven experience in general garden maintenance and minor landscape construction including use of a broad range of plant and equipment and basic mechanical skills

Gardener – Western Suburbs

Key Skills:

- Ability to communicate clearly to all stakeholders within the council as well as the general public
- Demonstrated experience in the management and delivery of OHS & Risk Management principles and practices
- Proven experience in general garden maintenance and minor landscape construction including use of a broad range of plant and equipment and basic mechanical skills
- Experience using a computer and basic software programs including Microsoft Office
Compulsory requirements:
- WWCC
- Police Check
Desired requirements:
- Fork Lift licence
- Front End Loader (Skid Steer)
- MR or HR Truck License
- Certificate III in Horticulture
- AgVet Chemical Users Certificate
- First Aid Certificate
Gardens and Maintenance Officer
HOBAN’s client in Mount Waverly are looking for an experienced gardens and maintenance person for a short term assignment starting 3rd December until 18th December, rounding out the school year. You will work in a stable environment with consistent and regular work opportunities across Monday to Friday.
About the role:
- Attend to grounds, garden and maintenance issues throughout the property, where possible undertake repairs, improvements
- Have a sound knowledge of cyclic garden and plants maintenance
- Perform College requirements such as setting up furniture for assemblies, functions, waste management practices and general maintenance tasks
- General grounds and gardens maintenance duties including operating of equipment to achieve the required standards.

Multiskill Operators – Northern Suburbs
This is an opportunity to work in a Local Council environment offering you the ability to expand your skills, while contributing to the maintenance of the city. HOBAN Recruitment is currently seeking a competent MR Truck driver to join the dynamic team cleansing team at a local council in the North for an ASAP start. You will work in a stable environment with consistent and regular work opportunities across Monday to Friday.
About the role
You will utilise your skills as a MR and multiskilled drainage operator. Work within a team of dedicated individuals all working together happy to jump in and help across different areas of a transfer station!

Skills and experience:
- Proven 5 years’ + experience operating Medium Ridged truck
- Experience working in drainage and infrastructure Preferred
- Safe operation of plant equipment

Licences:
- MR or HC Licence
- Traffic Control Card Must
- Front end loader/backhoes Preferred
- Forklift Licence Preferred
