Key Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of Design Managers, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Lead the design process for complex, multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• Oversee project delivery, ensuring adherence to budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
• Drive value management and optimum solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with organisational goals.
• Ensure compliance with technical, safety, and regulatory requirements, including Safety in Design standards.

About You

• Qualifications: Professional engineering degree (B.Eng) in a relevant discipline.
• Experience:
  • Proven leadership in managing multidisciplinary design teams.
  • Expertise in engineering design, value management, and project delivery.
  • Experience in large-scale infrastructure projects and familiarity with organisations such as BHP, Santos, or similar.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in technical writing and report preparation.
• Skills and Attributes:
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver projects within tight deadlines and budgets.
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards.
  • Collaborative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in project management or business management (desirable).
