This company offers a wide range of specialized instruments, including those for Scientific, Semiconductor, Industrial, and Medical Equipment. Your role will involve installing and troubleshooting Electron Optics and Analytical Instruments, as well as sales promotion and delivering high-level technical support to our customers. If you have a few years of experience in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, you will receive extensive training both in Australia and overseas. After 6 months, you will undergo several months of training in overseas.
Key tasks:
Perform installations, maintenances, repairs and user training as assigned by the Service Manager in a prompt and courteous manner
Provide technical support to customers either by phone, email or onsite
Provide phone support for other engineers when necessary
Provide training to customers on the use of instruments
Maintain Service files ensuring Service Reports, Test results, packing slips etc are included in file
Update Solve 360 database as required
Inform manager of all service issues encountered in the field
Provide a report to manager when service is completed and/or at the end of each week
Assist in the promotion of company products
Travel interstate and overseas is required for customer visits
The key tasks are not limited in accordance with an instruction from line manager
Ensure all relevant requirements and procedures associated with ISO 9001:2000 are followed
YOU:
- A few years of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering experience or graduate is also considered
- Understanding of Japanese culture or experience of working for Japanese company is plus
- Degree of either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Japanese language skill is plus
