Looking for an experienced HR professional with an interest for driving policies, resolving complex challenges, and supporting an active workforce? As a Human Resources Advisor, you will partner with our leadership team and employees to deliver exceptional HR services, foster engagement, and contribute to a thriving organisational culture. This is a vital role where you'll take ownership of key HR functions and provide strategic insights to empower our people and drive business success.
Start date - 3rd February - This is a 10-month Max hire contract until December 2025.
Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Lead New Hire Orientations and facilitate employee engagement initiatives such as roundtables, management meetings, and policy discussions.
- Address and resolve complex employee relations issues, conducting investigations, partnering with legal counsel, and recommending solutions that align with organisational goals.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBA), Modern Awards, and applicable legislation to maintain adherence to workplace laws and standards.
- Interpret and apply the terms and conditions outlined in EBAs and Awards to guide workplace policies, procedures, and operational decisions.
- Manage EEO claims, gathering detailed information, preparing responses in collaboration with other stakeholders, and ensuring effective communication of outcomes.
- Conduct exit interviews to provide insights into employee satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide training and support to management on HR systems and policies to drive compliance and best practices.
- Oversee HR data accuracy within HRIS systems, ensuring proper documentation for audits and internal reviews.
- Reporting - including dashboard metrics, EEO analysis, and performance reviews, to provide actionable insights for leadership.
- Act as the point of contact for internal and external auditors, providing HR-related information on new hires, terminations, compensation, and more.
- Design and execute HR programs aligned with business objectives, leveraging creativity and a strategic mindset to foster engagement and operational success.
- Partner with leadership to plan employee events, develop HR initiatives, and ensure effective communication and implementation across teams.
What You Bring to the Role:
- With 3- 5years of recent HR experience, with a strong focus on employee relations, compliance, and HR systems. Experience dealing with escalated, high-complexity issues is essential.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field. (Equivalent experience considered)
- Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and relationship-building abilities. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and HR systems.
- Deep understanding of HR principles, policies, and procedures, with the ability to navigate diverse and complex issues and recommend actionable solutions.
