HOBAN Recruitment is seeking a talented Strategic Communications Officer (APS5 level) to join a dynamic government agency located in SYDNEY NSW (various office locations available).

About the Role
In this role, you will:
- Develop and deliver strategic communication plans tailored to diverse audiences, including people with disability, their families, staff, and partners.
- Ensure all communication materials adhere to inclusive and accessible principles.
- Provide specialist advice on communication processes, guidelines, and policies.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to scope needs, resolve issues, and achieve positive outcomes.
- Assist with content scheduling, coordination, and publishing across multiple channels.
- Manage inbox enquiries, prepare reports, and contribute to high-performing team operations.

About You:
To excel in this role, you will need:
Essential Criteria:
- Strong writing skills to create clear, concise, and engaging content for various audiences.
- Experience developing content for websites, social media, newsletters, and internal communications.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to foster relationships and gather input for communication initiatives.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Desirable Criteria:
- Knowledge of plain language principles and inclusive communication practices.
- Ability to interpret complex information (such as legislation) and translate it into accessible messaging.
- Strong proofreading and editing skills.
- Ability to evaluate communications effectiveness and provide reporting.
Please note you do need to be an AUSTRALIAN CITIZEN for this Federal Government role.
