EL1 Business Analyst

HOBAN Recruitment is seeking an experienced EL1 Level Business Analyst (Labour Hire) to support a high-impact government agency in SURRY HILLS NSW.

About the Role:
In this role, you will play a critical part in optimising internal service delivery processes and improving outcomes for participants. Your work will help shape the strategic vision of service design and ensure operational consistency and sustainability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying and documenting current business processes to establish a clear baseline.
- Conducting business and systems process analysis to drive design improvements.
- Providing program-level analysis and creating essential documentation.
- Supporting the Product Owner in developing user stories, acceptance criteria, and process maps.
- Evaluating the effectiveness of proposed solutions and business designs.
- Leading business requirements transition to development teams.
- Assisting in verification testing to ensure solutions align with business needs.
- Engaging with key stakeholders to facilitate workshops and collaborative discussions.

- Essential skills:
- Proficiency in business process analysis and documentation.
- Strong ability to gather and manage business requirements.
- Effective problem-solving and risk assessment capabilities.
- Experience in systems testing against acceptance criteria.
- Stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.
- A strong understanding of system thinking and operational improvement.
- Desirable skills:
- Data analysis and trend identification.
- Familiarity with Agile and Kanban methodologies.
- Proficiency with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration and process optimisation.
