School Crossing Supervisor

We are currently looking for multiple School Crossing Supervisors across Canberra, for Term 2 2025.
As a School Crossing Supervisor your key role will be to help children, parents, and community members safely across the road, teach them how to use a crossing safely and provide a courteous service to pedestrians. Hours of work will be rostered at the start or end of school days.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Assisting children, families, and pedestrians to safely cross at children's crossings and traffic lights
- Report all incidents, accidents, near misses and potential risks
- Maintain a high level of awareness and professionalism.
- Foster positive interactions with the school community.
The role of School Crossing Supervisor is held in very high esteem in our communities. In taking on this role, you'll become vital to the safety of our children, parents, teachers, and local motorists. Successful candidates will have:
- Experience in customer service or working directly with children
- Currently hold a Working with Vulnerable People's Check
- Driver's License and have access to a reliable vehicle (ideal, but not a necessity)
- Availability Monday to Friday, from 7.30am to 9.00am and 3.00pm to 4.00pm.
- Be willing to commute around Canberra as needed

Working Hours:
This role requires availability during school drop-off (7:30 AM - 9:00 AM) and pick-up times (3:00 PM - 4:00 PM) on school days.
