About the Role
The APS5 Procurement (Labour Hire) is a team membership position accountable for organising workflow and making independent decisions within an area of responsibility. The position provides policy advice based on policies and legislation and undertakes moderately complex to complex research, analysis, and advice work under limited supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing administrative support to the Procurement team, managing confidential and sensitive information.
- Offering procurement advice and support to the broader Agency.
- Delivering support and advice on compliance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and internal procurement policies and procedures.
- Assisting with tracking value for money outcomes and preparing reports against KPIs.
- Preparing a range of procurement-related documentation.
- Drafting correspondence and reports, including emails and letters.
- Entering, extracting, and manipulating data to enable accurate Agency reporting.
- Contributing to team and branch planning activities, including identifying opportunities for improvements.

About You:
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to synthesise complex information and translate findings into succinct advice.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Expertise in developing and implementing analytical frameworks.
- Exceptional writing skills, with the ability to develop plain English and accessible content.
- Proven project and resource management experience.
- Relevant qualifications or experience in procurement, policy, or a related field.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of the procurement sector and its impact on stakeholders.
- Experience working in the Australian Public Service or government sector.
- Skills in issues management and responding to reputational risks.
- Understanding of regulatory and legislative frameworks in a government environment.
