About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated Field Technician to join a Operations team within a SA Government department, responsible for ensuring water quality, safety, and customer satisfaction through preventative and corrective maintenance and emergency response. This role is vital to achieving regional performance targets in a collaborative, service-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prioritise safety in all tasks, complying with WHS standards and ensuring the safety of self and others
- Conduct field-based maintenance and emergency response to uphold service standards
- Engage with customers and colleagues to deliver timely resolutions to service issues
- Ensure compliance with all relevant systems, processes, and procedures
- Utilise tools, equipment, and vehicles responsibly, maintaining operational readiness
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A strong work ethic with a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service
- Proven safety awareness and prioritisation of safety in all work activities
- Ability to work independently and handle a variety of maintenance tasks
- Essential: Any truck licence, White Card, and residence within 30 minutes of Port Elliot
- Desirable: Excavator or similar licence, Certificate III in Water Operations, experience with hand/power tools, and familiarity with water/wastewater systems
- Flexible availability, including potential after-hours and on-call requirements
