Health Technical Advisor

This Government agency is designed to enhance the lives of many Australians across the country and has an opportunity for Health Technical Advisors to commence in March. Paying $60.26 p/h + 11.5% Super Monday to Friday until December 2025.
Key requirements:
Must be an Australian Citizen
Must possess relevant academic qualifications with currency of accreditation and membership with Professional Peak Bodies. Must be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or be a member under Allied Health Professional Australia (AHPA), together with extensive professional clinical experience in health, allied health or disability sectors.
Qualifications in one of the following areas - minimum three years infield experience:
- Occupational Therapy
- Prosthetics and Orthotics
- Speech Pathology
- Physiotherapyy
- Clinical Psychologist
- Social Work
- Mental Health Practitioners
- Specialist Behavioural Support Practitioners
This is an excellent opportunity to provide technical, policy, and operational support. Working in a highly collaborative team environment, the Technical Advisory Branch plays a critical role providing support and building the capability of the staff and partners.
Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Providing written expertise on supports required for participants
- Coaching and Mentoring, advising on the most appropriate supports
- Manage complex and sensitive conversations and situations
- Liaising and working cooperatively with stakeholders, delegates, partners and providers
- Provide subject matter expertise
- Excellent written and telephone advice and record keeping, including competency with IT systems
