About the Roles: Our client is seeking experienced Service Designers to join their high-performing Participant Experience Design team. These roles are crucial in supporting the organisation's objectives and involve leading complex work, managing risks, and providing leadership and guidance to the team.
EL1 Service Designer: The EL1 Service Designer will undertake very complex work that delivers quality outcomes. This leadership position involves resolving issues, managing risks, and providing leadership, planning, and resource management for the team and contractors. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading research and identifying insights.
- Overseeing and documenting current state services.
- Managing process design improvements.
- Advocating for participant and stakeholder experiences.
- Facilitating design-thinking sessions.
- Overseeing end-to-end service experiences.
- Evaluating proposed solutions and designs.
- Providing guidance and coaching to team members.
APS6 Service Designer (Labour Hire): The APS6 Service Designer will have team leadership and management responsibilities, including setting priorities and managing workflows. This role involves providing detailed technical, professional, policy, and operational support. Key responsibilities include:
- Researching and identifying insights.
- Co-creating and documenting current state services.
- Co-facilitating process design improvements.
- Advocating for participant and stakeholder experiences.
- Co-facilitating design-thinking sessions.
- Overseeing end-to-end service experiences.
- Contributing to the evaluation of proposed solutions and designs.
- Assisting management with system tools and other duties.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong background in service design, strategy, and planning.
- Ability to collaborate with various business areas and work effectively in a team.
- Experience mentoring junior designers and using online whiteboards (EL1).
- Proficiency in creating and interpreting service design artefacts, user journey maps, and blueprints.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to work in a complex environment.
- Fundamental design knowledge and system thinking capabilities.
