- Rate - OO3 equivalent, $42 + p/h + super
About the Role
As an Operations Officer, you will play a key role in assessing and monitoring fire ant nest densities in targeted areas. You will conduct surveys, collect and maintain accurate records, and support key processes to ensure the success of aerial treatment operations.
Your key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Undertake training in fire ant density assessment methods.
- Conduct rapid field surveys before and after aerial treatment.
- Use scientific methods to determine treatment effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity.
- Liaise with stakeholders, assist in quality assurance, and support logistics.
- Work autonomously and use problem-solving skills to support project success.
- Other duties as required
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Forklift and/or order picker licence
- Field Data Collection & Analysis: Ability to conduct surveys, collect data accurately, and assess fire ant densities using scientific methods.
- Attention to Detail: Maintain meticulous records, ensuring data accuracy and integrity in compliance with established systems and processes.
- Problem Solving: Ability to work autonomously, using initiative to resolve issues and support the efficient management of the aerial treatment project.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Strong communication skills to liaise with team members and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth processes and data delivery.
- Adaptability & Initiative: Comfortable working independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong time management and self-motivation.
- Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities while ensuring compliance with quality assurance standards.
Mandatory Requirements
- Current, unrestricted 'C' class driver's licence.
- Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work visa.
