About the Role
As a Strategic and Operations Reporting Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting data-driven decision-making, developing reporting solutions, and enhancing operational efficiency.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Engaging with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, transforming raw data into meaningful reports and insights.
- Developing and delivering high-quality reporting products in consultation with business areas, ensuring alignment with user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Enhancing efficiency within the division by creating a 'single source of truth' for all reporting needs, incorporating rich, interactive, and accessible visualisations.
- Managing assigned reporting projects end-to-end, including requirements gathering, workflow management, and solution development.
- Developing reports in compliance with:
- Team style guides, user experience principles, and accessibility standards.
- Established coding and technical standards.
- Ensuring thorough testing and documentation of all reporting products, including appropriate change notes and release documentation.
- Writing extendable and reusable code that can be applied across multiple projects.
- Supporting divisional objectives through data-driven insights and cross-team collaboration.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Expert-level proficiency in data analysis, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or a related field.
- Experience building analytical assets, such as forecasting models, predictive analytics, and optimization solutions.
- Proficiency in handling raw data and deriving actionable insights through data visualisation tools such as SAS Viya, Tableau, QlikView, or similar platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to improve efficiencies and deliver measurable results across large functions through collaboration and data-driven solutions.
- Experience in data validation, designing products with accessibility considerations, and ensuring high user experience standards.
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices, project tracking software (e.g., JIRA), and version control systems (e.g., Git, Bitbucket).
- Relevant certifications in business intelligence tools, data analytics, or related technologies will be highly regarded.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in data analysis to track performance trends.
- Familiarity with workforce planning methodologies.
- Proficiency in reporting and business intelligence tools.
- Experience in recommending and implementing process improvements.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration capabilities.
