HOBAN is seeking a motivated APS6 Business Analyst (Labour Hire) for a Federal Government Agency to support strategic project initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a meaningful role, driving efficiency, process enhancements, and stakeholder engagement.

- Salary: APS6 equivalent $62.26 p/h + superannuation
- Start: April, pending interview and security clearances

About the Role
As an APS6 Business Analyst, you will play a key role in analysing and improving business processes, ensuring alignment with legislative and policy frameworks.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Analysing and documenting current and future state business processes.
- Eliciting, documenting, and managing business requirements into Epics and User Stories.
- Identifying inefficiencies and recommending process improvements.
- Conducting systems testing against defined acceptance criteria.
- Facilitating workshops with stakeholders, Business Analysts, UX/UI Designers, and technology teams.
- Identifying potential risks and issues, tracking problems, and recommending solutions.
- Developing and maintaining subject matter expertise across new systems and processes.
- Producing reports, interpreting data, and analysing results using standard statistical techniques.
- Coordinating divisional and branch reporting requirements to monitor and track performance outcomes.
- Supporting the transition of business requirements to development teams and ensuring built solutions align with business needs.
- Implementing and maintaining governance, compliance, audit, and risk management processes.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience in business process analysis and documentation.
- Strong ability to elicit and manage business requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Experience in testing systems against defined acceptance criteria.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including workshop facilitation.
- Risk assessment and issue resolution experience.
- Ability to develop and maintain expertise in new systems and processes.
Desirable Skills
- Data analysis experience to identify trends and insights.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Proficiency in business analysis tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Experience in recommending and implementing process improvements.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration capabilities.

- Must be an Australian Citizen. (FULL AU WORKING RIGHTS)
- Ability to pass and maintain a National Police Check and other pre-employment checks.
