About the Team
The Intelligence & Analytics Branch is dedicated to optimising data use for integrity management, including intelligence products, risk vulnerability registers, and fraud case management data. The team handles the intake, analysis, and response to tip-offs and referrals with integrity concerns. About the Role
As an EL1 Assistant Director of Strategic Intelligence undertakes complex, high-impact projects across strategic intelligence, requiring sophisticated problem-solving and judgment. With considerable autonomy, you'll support intelligence planning, direct strategic projects, and collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including the Fraud Fusion Taskforce, to deliver insights across government sectors. You'll represent the organisation in key forums, influencing decision-making with high-level policy and operational intelligence.
- Lead the planning, production, and delivery of strategic intelligence outputs.
- Manage intelligence projects, producing detailed, high-quality products for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with government partners, sharing insights and producing briefing materials.
- Manage information requests, prepare responses for senior management and ministerial briefings, and assess incoming matters for action.
- Utilise analytical tools like Analysts Notebook and iBase for workload and reporting.
About you
To thrive in this role, you need:
- Proven experience in leading intelligence teams.
- Strong track record of delivering intelligence products and services.
- Proficiency in Australian criminal and regulatory response frameworks.
- Ability to contribute to or lead strategic capability projects.
- Understanding of fraud issues and intelligence in public service contexts.
- Experience in delivering intelligence training and professional development.
- Be able to pass and hold a national police check and worker screening check.
- Must be an Australian Citizen.
