Lawyer (SAW6 & SAW7) - 6-Month Assignment

SA Water is seeking two Lawyers to join our Legal, Compliance & Insurance team within the Office of the Chief Executive. These roles offer an exciting opportunity to provide legal expertise in a dynamic, in-house environment.

📍 Location: Adelaide (Victoria Square)
📅 Duration: ASAP - 6 months
⏳ Capacity: Full-time (WFH available; Thursdays mandatory in-office)
📌 Submission Deadline: Please submit by 12 PM - Wednesday, 26 March

💰 Salary:

• SAW6: $60.29 per hour (including casual loading)
• SAW7: $66.16 per hour (including casual loading)

Available Roles & Requirements

🔹 SAW6 - Lawyer

• Minimum 2 years of in-house legal experience, with exposure to litigation, projects, and corporate legal matters.

🔹 SAW7 - Senior Lawyer

• Unrestricted legal practising certificate.
• Minimum 2 years post-admission experience.
• Commercial experience (preferably advising business clients in a law firm or in-house legal setting).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and drafting services to SA Water business units.
• Assist in litigation, corporate governance, compliance, and commercial matters.
• Support Freedom of Information (FOI) functions, ensuring compliance with the Freedom of Information Act 1991.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders, government agencies, and external legal providers.
• Contribute to the development of legal processes and business policies.
